Octopus are marine animals without backbones (mollusks). One was seen in Fishy Business.
Appearance
In Fishy Business, the octopus was ordered by the Sea Judges to put Courage, Eustace, and Muriel in a giant fish bowl, wearing gills to breath in water and turn into fishes. The Octopus throws Di Lung out of the large fish bowl, making room for Courage, Muriel and Eustace, putting them in the tank later. He is in charge of feeding them. He shakes fish food into the bowl, as Eustace and Muriel chow down the pellets. Courage then realizes that he will turn into a fish if he acts like one. Courage jumps out of the tank and stops the Octopus, using a large mallet to bash the creatures tentacle. Courage then wraps a curtain around the animal's face and the dog sticks the Octopus' tentacles onto the fish bowl and eventually, a truck. Courage begins to drive the vehicle out onto land, with the Octopus unknowingly carrying Muriel and Eustace behind him. The 3 Judges realize the family is trying to escape and use lobsters as steeds to chase after them.
Courage managed to get to his house and sees the Fishsionary indulging in human activities. Infuriated, the Sea Judges order the Octopus to release the Bagges and Courage takes their gills off.
Under the judges' orders, the Octopus grabs the Fishsionary and throws her into The Bowl to be "re-civilized".
